Smartseal Damp Proof Paint has been extensively tested to guarantee high performance, and to help prevent dampness on walls and ceilings appearing again. The damp proof paint is suitable for internal and external use. The liquid dpm can quickly stop water ingress on walls and help prevent the spread of penetrating damp.
Smartseal Damp Proof Paint is a ready-to-use, liquid damp-proofing paint which can help to protect against water ingress on porous substrates, such as concrete brickwork and render. It is specially formulated for for use as part of a below ground-level waterproofing systems.
The damp proof paint provides a seamless, waterproof, radon barrier under plaster or renders. It can also be applied to pond linings to act as a waterproof barrier, and will help to protect against water ingress in areas with constant water contact, such as under tiles in bathrooms and kitchens, as well as food processing areas and balconies. Furthermore, it also forms a barrier to protect against harmful methane and carbon dioxide gases.

Q: Can I use this to paint the bare wall of my garage and use it as a standalone finish?
A: The Damp Proof paint can be applied to a bare wall as a stand alone finish.
Q: Can this be top coated with epoxy paint?
A: We would suggest not overcoating the damp proof paint with a epoxy paint. it might not adhere correctly.
Q: Can it be applied to an external wall that has already been painted? Also can the external walls be painted over once they have painted withe damp proof paint?
A: It can be applied on top of a previous paint, but it's damp proofing effect could be hindered. This would be the same for if you painted on top of it.
