Smartseal Damp Proof Paint has been extensively tested to guarantee high performance, and to help prevent dampness on walls and ceilings appearing again. The damp proof paint is suitable for internal and external use. The liquid dpm can quickly stop water ingress on walls and help prevent the spread of penetrating damp.
Smartseal Damp Proof Paint is a ready-to-use, liquid damp-proofing paint which can help to protect against water ingress on porous substrates, such as concrete brickwork and render. It is specially formulated for for use as part of a below ground-level waterproofing systems.
The damp proof paint provides a seamless, waterproof, radon barrier under plaster or renders. It can also be applied to pond linings to act as a waterproof barrier, and will help to protect against water ingress in areas with constant water contact, such as under tiles in bathrooms and kitchens, as well as food processing areas and balconies. Furthermore, it also forms a barrier to protect against harmful methane and carbon dioxide gases.

Q: Would this be suitable for stables? They are old and the walls get very wet in winter. They are also painted. Thanks
A: There is no resaon why it could not be applied to walls within stables. The Damp-Proof Paint should be applied to an unpainted surface. It is also best to apply when the walls are dry.
Q: Can I use this paint on the external lower part of the house walls were the damp corse runs
A: The Damp-Proof Paint can be applied to the lower part of the wall where the existing damp course runs.
Q: Hi can this paint be applied onto brick that has already been painted? The brick is showing signs of penetrating damp which looks to have dried out.
A: For optimal performance, the damp-proof paint should not be applied over previous coatings like emulsion paints or bitumen, as these can inhibit bonding.
