Block Paving Sealer SILK (Sample, 5L & 25L)

Have used this block paving sealer for years with always the same results great barrier against weeds, mould and water penetration. Have tried cheaper other companies products in small areas but dont last as long and not as durable. So always buy more than I need now. Also it does last for years. Well happy with product and company who supply.

A test was carried out on a door step with the sample of sealer I ordered . I was highly delighted with the result so then proceeded to order the 50 litres I required to do the job . The block paved drive is only 5 years old and in good condition , but the results after the whole process was amazing , I have worked with this product before but forgot just how good it is , Iam really pleased and have the piece of mind that my driveway is now protected thanks to Smartseal .

This sealer does exactly what it says on the tin. Very impressed with it. The roller makes sure it goes in all the nooks and crannies and you get an even spread. The only thing I would have liked is a bit of guidance about was the need to have gaps between the blocks so that you get a smooth finish. I resanded my drive so had a lot of sand spatter which obviously has gone hard with the sealant. Not much of a problem really but love the look of the drive after the second coat

The block paving sealer does a great job but leaves a slight smell for a couple of days after application. The ECO version of the sealer is not quite as good but is odour free.

I have used this excellent sealer previously and found it to be just what I wanted. This time i used it i found it to be the usual high standard and made a great job of my block paving

Used smartseal sealig product a number of times, however this was the first time we used the colour tint !!! Rang smartseal to check the measurements for a 25lt drum they explained everything for us. The results speak for themselves amazing service and amazing products will keep recommending smartseal to all our customers.

Wow was so worried about doing this job but having spoken to Tracey Vokes, Hayley Cracknell and finally Nigel Blake at smart seal who advised what materials and block paving sealer I needed and gave excellent advice I finally did it this week and I am so pleased with the result.

Very good stuff that does what it says. I used it fir the first time a few years ago and I didn't have no weed or stain until builders carrying out renovation ruined it with cement as you can see from the before photo. With some cement remover and jet wash was now looking dull until I applied Smartseal block paving sealer silk, it's looking beautiful again. People often ask why is my drive wet, not knowing its the silk finish that deceived them. Definitely recommend this product. My neighbour loved it so much that he asks me to do his.

I have used the Satin block sealer previously at which time I applied it using a roller which I found rather tedious and messy. On this latest occasion I used 4 drums x 25 Ltr of sealer for three coats on my driveway and applied using a sprayer and found it very much easier; I believe I followed the advice given by Nigel Blake rather too religiously in the first coat which is why I used more than I had anticipated however the final result met my goal and seems durable and looks great. I purchased a quality sprayer elsewhere but do make sure that it has Viton seals to cope with the product if going down that route and I recommend using the SmartSeal cleaner to ensure equipment is fit for further use.

I initially ordered wrong application product. After several emails for advice both Ricky and Andrew advised on correct sealant I needed, amount to order and application product to use. It was very easy and quick to apply and the effect is amazing, looks like a new drive! Although expensive, I think it was worth it, quick delivery, excellent advice and customer service, Thank you!

Great to be able to try a sample of sealer before committing to sealing all of my block paving. Having tried the silk version I will shortly be ordering the Matt version when the weather stabilises.

Leaves a slightly darker colour on block paving.very easy to apply with the roller kit provided by smart seal.premium product.only caution is opening and emptying a 25 l can,has a red opening at the top, didn't know first time and opened wrongly.very pleased with this sealant and have used thrice already

Read a lot of reviews before buying and was unsure it would do what it says on the tin. Very happy with the result, sealer easy to apply and the result was what it said on the tin. My colour less dull bricks were bought back to life., and when it rained the water was repelled instantly. Great product as far as Im concerned and a quick delivery. Thanks smartseal.

I ended up ordering a second 5L of this block paving sealer as I had needed more colour and assumed Id also need more sealer but in fact the first tin did the job easily with some left over. The drive looks very fresh and modern.

Superb! Look no further and forget the cheaper ones available from the big shops. Ive used four different brands of sealer over the years and the block paving has never looked as good as it does today. It goes a long way and dries quick ( it is 23c today so that helped). I also asked SmartSeal Customer Support fo some advice on a Saturday night. Sunday morning there was a reply in my inbox. Great. Ive had neighbours in to look at the job and two of them are going to order Smart Seal products.

After treatment with a cleaner which got rid of many black spots. The application of Smart Seal sealer has transformed very old faded block paving to something close to how they looked when new. Having just used another brand on another area and being very disappointed with the result, the Smart Seal was cheaper, went further and looks so much better

At last I have been able to use the block paving sealer. Absolutely thrilled with the finished effect. It was much easier than I thought. did the sanding and 2 coats of sealer in 1 day. I am 70 years old and proud of myself and of Smartseal sealant. I would recommend it wholeheartedly and also the "How to" videos on Youtube. Well done Smartseal.

Was a bit unsure about this sealer on our 15 yr old patio but WOW its amazing. Ours is a york stone blue/grey stone very worn and faded, we wanted a the wet look that makes it look darker and this did it. Very happy with the result with family and friends asking where we got it from.

This is the second time I have used smartseal block paving sealant it is a very good product lasted a few years before needing resealing so used the same again delivery was very prompt

Sadly, after I cleaned my patio ready for treatment, it hasn't stopped raining, however I would say the help I received before purchasing was invaluable. I will leave a product review as soon as I am able to use the sealer.

Happy with tis product (so far - but long term suitability yet to be "tested"). I used this sealer to bring out the colour in black edging bricks and it did that. I WOULD buy again.

Excellent product. I used a spray pump to put the sealant on my drive. Very easily done, took about 30 mins. The following day it dried very well. I have yellow, red and light brown paving stones, the pattern is in a herringbone style. The colours have came out vibrant. I will probably give it a 2nd coat, but the weather has been awful just now. The sealant arrived in a drum which has a locking mechanism. Quite strong smell so would suggest wearing a mask and ensure you wear gloves. I was advised via email when my product would arrive. I have never used this vendor before, but I would have no hesitation in using them again or indeed recommending to friends and family.

The before image was last year. The section of concrete drive on the photo is approx 18yrs old. I tend to use the silk sealant every two years. Its definitely worth it. We are very happy with this product

Superb product. Has brought our 12 year old block paved drive back to life. As with everything good prep is key. Studied the videos and instructions beforehand. Application with the professional roller kit, which was also purchased from the company, was easier than I expected. Little unclear about cleaning tools on completion and I seemed to use slightly more sealer than estimated, but really impressed with the final result. Will look forward to doing the back patio with the same silk finish.

Great product, easy to apply to block paving with the roller, sealer becomes very sticky very quickly so a bit like painting with super glue but did the job and looks great

"Block Paving Sealer in SILK" I have had my block paving drive for about 20 years, I reseal it about every other year or so. Over the years I have purchased some rubbish sealer from the internet, you never what it is like until you start to apply it. This sealer is excellent, I had one problem (not their fault) and this company were very helpful in sorting it out. I gave my drive a good power wash, when it was completely dry I gave it two coats of sealer. The finish is brilliant, unlike some of the cheaper sealers out there, I would recommend this sealer and company. P. S. The delivery was also quick.

This is the second time I have used SmartSeal, my drive was laid about 12 years ago. I initially used another brand. I am obviously pleased with SmartSeal. The type I used was for block paving in Silk. Plenty of people have commented on how good the drive looks.

I don't have a large area and after following the provided instructions for preparation, I found application with a roller to be easy . The result is a new look to my block paving. An excellent product.

Have used this product for many years. Like all paints and sealants the hard work is in the preparation. Application by sprayer is simple and gives great results lasting results if you apply two good coats.

Thank you SmartSeal for a great product and for the ready help both by phone and video to guide me through the process. On the advice of my contractor, I had left my new block paving for a year to ensure that any efflorescence had washed out. My drive slopes down towards the house quite steeply and the main, but not unexpected, problem was that sand between the blocks was washing out and blocking the drain outside the front door in heavy rain. I manged to get the block paving sealer on at the end of last month in one of the few dry periods. Since then it has been well and truly tested and the sealer has solved this problem completely. At just over 200m2, this was quite a big project and I must confess to having been a little apprehensive about taking it on myself but, with all your help and guidance, I need not have worried. Given the size of the task, the sprayer was also a very worthwhile investment. We are delighted with the result which not only leaves the drains clear, but looks stunning as well. As an added advantage, the ants have also given up their excavations!

This is the first time I have used this product and I am very impressed. I 2 coated a recently installed Brett Beta driveway and it looks superb with the colour enhancing. The sandstone sealer is also of the highest quality.

We used this on our new drive a few years ago and it looked great. Had an accident recently with petrol spillage which stripped some of our drive, it looked awful! Next time I would use a roller, I used the sprayer and even though it was from Smartseal it was quite 'gloopy' coming out of the nozzle due to the viscosity of the sealer. Just sealed my drive whilst the weather has given me the opportunity. Must say that I am very impressed with the result as the drive looks first class & is as good new. Brand new block paving to my drive, sadly the night the guys finished laying the paving we had a massive thunder and rain storm through the night resulting in efflorescence on most of the paving bricks, used Smartseal Efflorescence Cleaner with excellent results, I did have to re-apply one area but that was fine afterwards. Sealed the paving after a suitable period, I found using a watering can (disposable) and a roller the best option, the Smartseal video is a bit miss leading seeing the guy use a squeegee (I bought one to use) but found that I would have used twice as much sealer, however I did find the Marshall bricks used were quite open pored so they drank the sealer. Final comment, we are very pleased the finish looks fantastic.

Tip top product - swift delivery and text in advance too... Easy to apply and drive looks fab - a little bit shiny without being full wet look! Have had several comments about how great it looks! Highly recommend this product - I will be using again when the time comes :)

Recently used this on my 120mtrsq drive and it looks fantastic. Huge drive so used the sprayer with no problems and gave it two coats. Have been inspired to use the remainder on my rear patio! An excellent service - used the 25 litre silk block sealer - recommend you use the cleaner first - easy to use with the 12" roller and tray - very pleased with the results - covered approx. 45 sq mtrs with 2 coats with just a little left.

Smartseal Blocking Paving , have been offered other Sealer which I been told is cheaper. But I would not risk it as Smartseal sealer is the best on the market in my opinion. And the back up service from the team at Smartseal is 1St Class.

I was forewarned about using the product when there is rain about and it was almost 2 months before I applied the first coat. The sprayer supplied was unfit for purpose and this didn't help. Didn't apply enough on the first coat as it is difficult to gauge how much is being used and was wary about not having enough for a second coat. Applied a second coat which made a big difference and eventually a thin third coat. Still had some whiteness which is supposedly caused by moisture but it was always bone dry when I used it. Just back from a 2 week holiday and the colour has lightened. Still looks good but the proof of the pudding will be next Spring after a harsh winter.

This company provide good service and the products do a great job, its down to you to get the best results by doing the prep work thoroughly ,on older blocks you will need really 3 coats if they have never been sealed can work out expensive but the results are worth the extra coat or that extra drum you will then have a driveway as good as new and be the envy of your neighbours,dont just sweep sand back in it needs wacking and brushing several times the results will be worth the extra time you spend doing all that prep work .

Placed my order and forgot to order Paving Sealant..... was contacted by SmartSeal Agent to confirm my original order... who they asked me if I required the Paving Sealant, I realised I had forgot to order it!! This was no problem the Agent (Nigel) sorted it out and added it to me original order. All was delivered intact and undamaged within a few days and no extra delivery cost to N.Ireland!! Very impressed with this company's customer service, I would recommend and use again.

First class service - product arrived next day as arranged. Product gave a very good appearance to block paving. On the face of things looks very good but it's only been sealed for a couple of weeks and therefore its probably too early to give any definitive review at this time. Will be interested to see how its standing up at the end of the summer
