Smartseal Brick Sealer is a high quality, clear, solvent free, breathable, impregnating coating system. Application of the brick sealer will alter the chemical structure of any brick or masonry surface providing a excellent water repellent and stain resistant surface.

Suitable for bricks, masonry and facades and protects against water ingress into brickwork and soiling. Surfaces treated with Smartseal impregnating brick sealer will remain cleaner and drier, reducing deterioration and cleaning costs.

COVERAGE:
For best results, apply generously allowing complete saturation. On most types of brickwork, coverage of around 5m² per litre is to be expected. On stone walls and specialist bricks, coverage up to 10m² per litre can be expected.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Store sealed in a cool place away from direct sunlight. Once opened, use entire contents as soon as possible.
Do not apply at temperatures below 8°C.
APPLICATION:
Apply by sprayer, roller or paint brush. Once fully cured, the wall, brick, stone or masonry will have a clear dry/invisible finish.

A: The Brick Sealer can be pianted over with a silica based paint around 7 days after the initila application of the sealer.
Q: Could this product be used on Render/Harling? - BRICK / MASONRY Sealer - Breathable, DRY 'Invisible Finish' Protects 10yrs+ Reason for the question is I have Render/Harling that goes to floor level & I've noticed it gets dirty/discoulred and my thinking is after removing the dirt I could give it a coat of 'BRICK / MASONRY Sealer - Breathable, DRY 'Invisible Finish' Protects 10yrs+' so in the future when dirt etc goes onto the wall it'll fall off or wash off with the rain, i'm I correct in thinking that?. Do you have any other products that would do the job? Could you tell me if you have any stockists in scotland (Glasgow). Thanks Gordon
A: Once applied the Brick Sealer will help to keep the surface of the render clean by making it more water resistant. It should take longer to get dirty after sealing, but cleaning and maintenance should be mucheasier once sealed. Any dirt may still adhere to the surface but will be easier to remove or clean once it has been sealed.
Q: The lime mortar on our Cornish stone cottage is crumbly, is there a breathable spray we could use to stabilise the mortar please? Many thanks Caroline.
A: Thanks for the question. Our concrete dust-proofer - solvent-free should be able to help this more than doing nothing. It may be worth trying a sample for this.

I used.a brush to apply the brick sealer and happy with the results. Washed brushes in warm soapy water. Splashing treated and untreated areas you can see the untreated area absorbs a lot more water and the treated area not much at all. I would buy again.
