Black Limestone Sealer - Transforms Re- Colours Seals and Protect
Easy to Apply, Hardwearing Solvent-Based Sealer and Colourant

Smartseal black limestone sealer is a highly-effective solvent-based sealer and re-colourant for black limestone which gives a transformative effect.
Limestone slabs will often fade over time and gradually turn a lighter shade of grey. The black limestone sealer can transform the look of faded limestone patios and make them look like they were recently laid. The sealer can be re-applied at any time to ensure any limestone slabs on patios or other external surfaces look good at all times.
Preparation:
- Clean surface using a pressure washer and/or Patio Clean Xtreme.
- Allow to dry for a minimum of 72 hours
- Apply above 12°C with a temperature no higher than 23°C
- Two coats are recommended
- Apply by roller
- Coverage: Average coverage approx. 4 - 5mē/litre first coat (dependant on surface) and approx. 6 - 8mē/litre second coat
Always apply to a test area first to determine suitability. A sample size (150 ml) is available for purchase should you wish to try it before committing to purchase 5 Litres.
***PLEASE NOTE*** - For best results, if a sweep-in jointing compound has been used when the slabs were laid, we would recommend using the residue remover prior to application.
Q: Would i have to strip back the original wet look sealer i used before using this product.
A: Without knowing the chemical makeup of the previous wet look sealer it would be hard to advise on whether you could apply the Black Limestone Sealer over the top without issue. It would be best to test with a sample first and leave for a few weeks to see if the black limestone sealer bonds correctly to the surface.
Q: can this product be used on black sandstone patio, that has faded and is patchy ? My house is patio all around, totalling about 100 square metres
A: The Black Limestone Sealer is fine for use on your black sandstone patio. Samples are available to test beforehand.
Q: Will this hide etching from someone using a turbo nozzle ?
A: The Black Limestone Sealer is a pigmented sealer so there is a good chance it will disguise the marks left by the turbo nozzle. It would probably be best to test on a small area to see if it does what you want it to.
I was very unsure what to buy and how to treat my black limestone slabs. After treating it last year with Re-Store they faded and stained very quickly leaving them looking very sad and uninteresting. SmartSeal Black Limestone Sealer really is a game changer!! 2 coats down and the place is looking MINT!! Well worth the money!! Thanks guys!!
Resealed my natural stone with black limestone sealer and looks brand new. Easy & quick to apply. Great product.
Brilliant. Having not been too happy with a previous brand of sealer/ colour enhancer, I first tried this product 2 years ago and it brought up my well faded black granite patio to a brilliant semi wet look deep black finish. Looks like new. I've since re-done it from the same 5 litre tin (my patio is about 70-80 sq metres) to freshen it up. It looks great and ive just ordered another 5litre tin for next time. Probably just give it a freshen up coat annually. Certainly transforms an otherwise tired looking patio!
