Smartseal wood sealer is an effective wood preserver and wood protector specially formulated for use on sheds, fences, garden furniture & decking. Once applied, the wood sealer creates an invisible waterproof barrier that will help prevent the ingress of moisture on ingress on pressure treated softwoods such as fences, sheds, garden furniture and decking. The wood waterproofer is also a wood preservative that is specially formulated to protect your outdoor wooden surfaces for up to 10 years. The water-resistant surface will also inhibit the growth and spread of mould and algae which is a big problem with softwoods, especially in shaded north-facing areas of locations with high levels of rainfall.

- Cannot be painted over or used on top of paint, as they will prevent one another from adhering to the wood.
To ensure the best results and prior to application, all wooden surfaces being treated should be thoroughly cleaned first.

Directions for Use:
Application:
Apply only the wood preservative to dry surfaces above 8°C with a surface temperature no higher than 23°C and no rain forecast for at least 4 hours.
Apply 2 coats by sprayer, roller or brush with application of second coat within 4 hours.
Wear appropriate safety wear when applying the wood protector and sealer.
Q: Can this be used on painted sleepers?
A: The wood sealer needs to be applied to an unpainted surface. Any paint would inhibit the penetration of the wood sealer into the surface.
Q: Can it be used on garden furniture with no staining of clothes
A: You can apply the wood sealer to garden furniture and leave to dry. Once fully cured it will not stain clothing.
Q: Hi, how dry does the timber need to be to apply the wood sealer? Is there a max. % of moisture acceptable before applying to make sure it works and doesn’t cause additional damage. Thank you, Ben
A: The wood just needs to feel dry to touch before application of the wood sealer. The drier the better, as the wood sealer will penetrate more into a drier surface.
Excellent product,wood sealer easy to apply. Dries quickly allowing the second coat to be applied within the recommended time. it did alter (darken) the colour of the wood but it does look s mart
