Solvent-Free and Eco-Friendly Block Paving Sealer to stop weeds growing in the joints of block paving. A water-based block paving sealer and weed inhibitor with no smell or fumes due to its solvent-free formulation.
Highly effective matt finish block paving sealer and easy to apply sand hardener. Inhibits weed growth and protect block paved driveways and patios.

For best results to allow product to penetrate approx 20mm into joints, apply at a ratio dependent on width of joints at 1.5 m2 per litre first coat, approx 4.0 m2 second coat

Only suitable for use on standard concrete based block pavers - Not to be applied to clay pavers.

Preparation: New Blocks Apply as soon as possible after installation. Remove excess sand. Apply above 12°C. Do not apply to wet surfaces, or if rain is forecast within 8 hours.
Older block paving: Thoroughly clean off the blocks with power wash, stain remover and fungicidal wash as necessary. Allow blocks to completely dry for 4-5 days before re-applying jointing sand until all joints are properly filled before application of Weed Inhibitor / Sand Hardener.
Application: By watering can or direct from container, apply liberally, working solution across surface with squeegee. Ensuring full absorption into depth of jointing sand.
Coverage: Dependent on depth of pavers 1.5m² / 2m² per litre. Product will appear opaque when wet, but will be clear when dry. Ensure adequate supplies of product are available. Agitate drum before opening, keep sealed when not in use. Clean spillages with water. For best results, apply a 2nd coat within 3 hours, at a ratio of 4m² per litre.

Harmful by inhalation and if swallowed. Irritating to skin.

Q: Just ordered ECO-friendly Block paving sealer. How deep into the block will it seal? Will it withstand jet washing once a year, and how long before it needs a recoat. Can I apply 3 coats?
A: Please see YouTube guide on this product Gary. If you apply in the recommended ratios, it will penetrate deep into the sand and set the joints rock solid. For optimum protection, a top up every 3 years is recommended. If required, it can be jet washed. Hope that helps. Regards, Nigel@Smartseal
Q: Which is best ego friendly block paving sealer solvent based please? And what is the difference please?
A: The Solvent Free Block Paving Sealer is what we would regard as an 'eco-friendly' sealer as it would have a barely perceptible VOC rating. We would not regard any of the solvent based block paving sealers as 'eco-friendly' as they would release much higher VOC levels during the drying process.
Q: Will the eco block paving sealer prevent tyre marks on my drive?
A: The Solvent Free Block Paving Sealer will not stop tyre marks as tyre marks are mostky caused by traffic film such as dirt and dust which tyres deposit on driveways. However, the Solvent Free Block Paving Sealer will make it easier to clean and tyre marks off the surface. Products such as the driveway cleaner can help with this.
Excellent products and service...The sealer and squeegee were delivered promptly and efficiently., the sealer was very easy to apply and it has left the drive looking like new. I was told Smartseal is the best and so it has proved..
The sealer seems to have done a good job and hardened the sand, I put the first coat on with a squeegee which spread it easily and then the second coat with a roller all within 3 hours and it was more easier than I first thought it would have been. I'm very satisfied with everything I've purchased from smartseal and they also answered a question I put to them. Brilliant
