A 'satin' look hard wearing sealer for imprinted concrete surfaces
Smartseal Imprinted Concrete sealer has been developed to give pattern imprinted concrete a silky slightly 'wet-look' finish.

Application Guidelines:
- Make sure that surface area is completely clean.
- Make sure that the surface area is bone dry (allow 3-4 dry days after cleaning)
- The Imprinted Concrete Sealer is commonly a 2 coat application, however due to age and condition of the surface, this may vary to get a 'uniform' finish. Please contact us providing pictures if unsure. Furthermore, samples are available to try on a test area.
- Apply sealer to the surface using a broom. (allow 2 hours minimum between coats).
- Allow 4 hours before walking and 24 hours before any vehicle traffic on the surface (for the sealer to cure and bond to the concrete).

After correctly applying the sealer, expect to have between 3-5 years protection. Sealer protection will vary dependent on a number of factors such as: traffic (foot/vehicle), weather and general maintenance.

Application
Brush slab to remove any dirt or debris. It is recommended that Smartseal Imprinted Concrete Sealer is applied with a Sealing Broom. The first application must be brushed into the surface whilst avoiding pooling, and allowed to dry past tacky prior to applying the second coat. Avoid application in strong, direct sunlight - do not apply if rain is likely within 8 hours of application.
Deicing salts should not be applied directly on Smartseal block paving or concrete sealers. Salt chemically reduces the temperature at which water freezes and will result in water ingress into the concrete. Subsequent freezing may result in the concrete seal being broken by the expansion of water as it freezes and white pitted areas may become visible.

Technical & Test Data
Smartseal Imprinted Concrete Sealer has been tested by the TRL (Transport Research Laboratory) and certified that it meets the SRV (Skid Resistance Value) for all categories of paving for local authority pedestrian areas and when heavily trafficked is suitable for special applications where risks of skidding are high as laid down in the UK Highway Authorities Tender Specification. Health & Safety
Flammable liquid. Do not smoke. Keep application area well ventilated. Wear respirator when applying. Store in a cool place. Flash point 42°C (Abel-Closed Cup). Refer to the Health & Safety Data Sheet for further information.
Q: What is the shelf life of an unopened 5 litre can of sealer (silk) for imprinted concrete Thank you
A: As long as the sealer is stored in a cool dry place, the shelf life should be around 12-18months. However, it could be longer based on experience from existing customers.

Absolutely brilliant stuff have always used the Matt sealer but this makes drive look new again and not slippery which was a worry used the none slip additive would recommend
I have used this imprinted concrete sealer over seven years now, sometimes I apply one coat sometimes two every two years and very easy to apply. Always rejuvenates the look and condition of my drive and protects it. Highly recommend.
