A 'satin' look hard wearing sealer for imprinted concrete surfaces
Smartseal Imprinted Concrete sealer has been developed to give pattern imprinted concrete a silky slightly 'wet-look' finish.

Application Guidelines:
- Make sure that surface area is completely clean.
- Make sure that the surface area is bone dry (allow 3-4 dry days after cleaning)
- The Imprinted Concrete Sealer is commonly a 2 coat application, however due to age and condition of the surface, this may vary to get a 'uniform' finish. Please contact us providing pictures if unsure. Furthermore, samples are available to try on a test area.
- Apply sealer to the surface using a broom. (allow 2 hours minimum between coats).
- Allow 4 hours before walking and 24 hours before any vehicle traffic on the surface (for the sealer to cure and bond to the concrete).

After correctly applying the sealer, expect to have between 3-5 years protection. Sealer protection will vary dependent on a number of factors such as: traffic (foot/vehicle), weather and general maintenance.

Application
Brush slab to remove any dirt or debris. It is recommended that Smartseal Imprinted Concrete Sealer is applied with a Sealing Broom. The first application must be brushed into the surface whilst avoiding pooling, and allowed to dry past tacky prior to applying the second coat. Avoid application in strong, direct sunlight - do not apply if rain is likely within 8 hours of application.
Deicing salts should not be applied directly on Smartseal block paving or concrete sealers. Salt chemically reduces the temperature at which water freezes and will result in water ingress into the concrete. Subsequent freezing may result in the concrete seal being broken by the expansion of water as it freezes and white pitted areas may become visible.

Technical & Test Data
Smartseal Imprinted Concrete Sealer has been tested by the TRL (Transport Research Laboratory) and certified that it meets the SRV (Skid Resistance Value) for all categories of paving for local authority pedestrian areas and when heavily trafficked is suitable for special applications where risks of skidding are high as laid down in the UK Highway Authorities Tender Specification. Health & Safety
Flammable liquid. Do not smoke. Keep application area well ventilated. Wear respirator when applying. Store in a cool place. Flash point 42°C (Abel-Closed Cup). Refer to the Health & Safety Data Sheet for further information.
Q: If resealing 18 yearvold imprinted concrete drive with minimal colour loss but plenty of fading, is it better to buy Silk or Matt finish sealer? Having watched your videos, I will refrain from using colour tint this time but will be purchasing anti-slip agent. What is the usual delivery time please? Many thanks.
A: The silk imprinted concrete sealer would be recommended, it will last longer. Our standard delivery time is 2-3 working days. Hope that helps.

A: If you are intending to use quite a lot of colour tint with the sealer we would suggest using the imprinted concrete sealer matt finish rather tahn the imprinted concrete sealer silk finish.
Q: How much sealer would I need for an area approx. 60m²? Thanks
A: 1 x 25L drum of imprinted concrete sealer should be enough for two coats of sealer (average coverage is 4-6 m2 per litre depending on age and condition). Coverage will be higher on the 2nd coat. Hope that helps.
Excellent product, the concrete goes a long way, easy to apply with a broom and makes the driveway look new again.. Super quick delivery arrived the next working day. Will definitely use again in a few years. Would highly recommend..
This is the second time I have used this imprinted concrete sealer. The last coating was 4 years ago. It is easy to apply, dries well, and leaves a reasonable shine/wet look. I pressure washed the drive before applying. It needs to be perfectly dry. One attractive feature of the 25 litre tub is that over 4 years the tub seal has remained intact and so I was able to use up the remains of what was left from last time. The product does seem to keep well. There is no skin or deposit, it remains as supplied. Smartseal service was excellent though I found the the delivery to be a little haphazard as instructions were left to leave behind the side gate if no one was in, and instead it was left on the front door step. I expect no one really wants to run away with a heavy tub of sealant?!
Happy with this sealant. Spreads easily and goes a long way. Lovely sheen on the imprint. Will definitely buy again.
